Appligent Document Solutions Releases AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro 4.3; New Output Options Improve End User Experience
Lansdowne, PA (PRWEB) April 14, 2009 -- Appligent Document Solutions (http://www.appligent.com) today announced the immediate availability of version 4.3 of its AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro server software for Windows, Mac OS X, 32bit and 64bit Linux, Solaris, AIX and HP-UX servers.

AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro are used to streamline document flows and reduce costs in a diverse range of implementations worldwide. In the pharmaceutical industry the software assembles reports, adding control statements and date/time stamps to the finished document. In higher education, AppendPDF Pro assembles customized collections of course documents on request. In the insurance industry, AppendPDF builds individualized documents for distribution to policy-holders.
Version 4.3 extends the existing product by leveraging Adobe Reader's presentational capabilities with the power of server-based content management. With AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro 4.3, organizations can develop highly scalable document production systems using a fraction of the development resources consumed by other solutions.
Version 4.3 adds new options to the XML parameter file that controls the application's operation. Users may now set the following options in the output PDF file.
- Set the page to which the document initially opens
- Set opening options, including bookmarks and thumbnails views
- Set the zoom level to Fit Height, Fit Width, etc
- Set the layout mode to single page, 2-up, etc
- Set the document into Full Screen viewing mode
- Hide toolbar, menu and window controls
AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro 4.3 are available immediately and without charge to existing Appligent Document Solutions customers with current Support & Maintenance agreements. Licenses for AppendPDF start at $995 for up to 4 cores on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux 32bit & 64bit, Solaris, AIX and HP-UX servers, and $2,995 for AppendPDF Pro. Developer licenses are available at a 50% discount.
