Lansdowne, PA -- Appligent Document Solutions www.appligent.com, the leading 3rd party PDF enterprise software company, today announced the immediate availability of version 4.0 of its enterprise-class APCrypt server software for Windows, Linux and AIX.*
Newly re-powered with the Adobe PDF Library, the new APCrypt offers full support for all standard Adobe Acrobat 9.x password based encryption mechanisms, enhanced reliability in opening and repairing damaged PDFs, the ability to retain last modified date, and more.
With support for AES 256-bit encryption, APCrypt delivers enterprise-class dynamic document security functions for server-based PDF workflows. With its all-new ability to encrypt PDF and non-PDF file attachments alone (leaving the PDF itself unencrypted), APCrypt 4.0 offers an exceptionally cost-effective secure delivery 'envelope' for any file that may be attached to a PDF.
APCrypt is deployed in a diverse range of applications. Businesses and financial institutions use APCrypt to apply user-specific passwords to emailed PDF records. Law-firms use APCrypt to protect large volumes of PDF files in a batch.
