Lansdowne, PA -- Appligent Document Solutions www.appligent.com, the leading 3rd party PDF enterprise software company, today announced the immediate availability of version 5.0 of its enterprise-class AppendPDF Pro and AppendPDF server software for Windows, Linux and AIX.
The second and third Appligent Document Solutions products to be re-powered with the Adobe PDF Library, the new AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro applications offer reliability, quality and functionality enhancements for mission-critical PDF assembly, reporting and publishing workflows.
AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro are used to streamline document workflows and reduce costs in a diverse range of implementations worldwide.
In the pharmaceutical industry, the software assembles reports, adding control statements and date/time stamps to the finished document. In higher education, AppendPDF Pro merges customized collections of course documents on request. In several insurance companies, AppendPDF builds individualized documents for distribution to policy-holders. Developers and integrators call these command-line applications for on-demand or batch processing.

In addition to opening virtually any PDF file, the new AppendPDF and AppendPDF Pro 5.0 applications generate ISO 32000 compliant Adobe PDF, the unquestioned highest-quality PDF files available.
Appligent Document Solutions is currently the only 3rd party commercial software vendor to offer PDF merging software powered by Adobe's PDF Library.
AppendPDF Pro 5.0 and AppendPDF 5.0 are both available immediately from Appligent Document Solutions' website and from our network of resellers. AppendPDF production licenses start at $995. AppendPDF Pro production licenses start at $2,995. Developer licenses are available at a 50% discount for customers with at least one production license. The software is available without charge to existing Appligent Document Solutions customers with current Support & Maintenance agreements.
Mac OS X, Solaris and HP-UX versions will be available before the end of the year.
