Introduction

Welcome to the tutorial Creating Accessible PDFs Using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional. This tutorial uses a step-by-step approach to teach users the techniques for achieving accessibility wiith PDF files. Using a method for analyzing PDF files from an accessibility perspective, students will learn how to systematically determine the appropriate techniques for adding accessible attributes to a PDF file based upon characteristics that an individual instance of a PDF file may or may not possess. This approach will guide users in determining which techniques are applicable for a specific PDF file and which can be ruled out.

Also included on this tutorial CD, in addition to the Acrobat 7.0 Professional training materials, is extra information regarding other accessibility tools, practice files, before and after examples, and information regarding earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. This CD also provides links to online resources from Adobe as well.
