Touch Up Read Order (TURO) Panel
Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional introduces the The Touch Up Read Order (TURO) Panel. You access the panel from the menu Advanced > Acccessibility > Touchup Reading Order or Tools > Advanced Editing > Touchup Reading Order Tool or click on the Touchup Reading Order tool icon of the advanced editing toolbar. You can quickly check the reading order of tagged PDF documents by using the TouchUp Reading Order tool. You can also use this tool to add alternate text to images and correct many types of tagging problems that are outlined in the confidence log report that Acrobat generates when you add tags to a PDF document (See Figure 1 - 15 Acrobat 7.0 Touch Up Read Order Panel)
Figure 1 - 15 Acrobat 7.0 Touch Up Read Order Panel

The tagging buttons of the Touchup Reading Order panel do the following:
Text
Tags the current selection as text.
Figure
Tags the current selection as a figure. Text contained within a figure tag is defined as part of the image and is not read by a screen reader.
Form Field
Tags the current selection as a form field.
Figure Caption
Tags a selected figure and caption as a single tag. Any text contained in the tag is defined as a caption. Useful for tagging photos and captions and preventing caption text from being incorrectly added to adjacent text blocks. Figures may require alternate text.
Heading1, Heading2, Heading3
Tags the current selection as a first, second, or third level heading tag. Heading tags may be converted to bookmarks to help users navigate the document.
Table
Tags the current selection as a table after analyzing the selection to determine the location of headings, columns, and rows.
Cell
Tags the current selection as a table or header cell. Use this option to merge cells that are incorrectly split.
Formula
Tags the current selection as a formula. Because screen readers may handle formula tags differently from normal text, you may want to add alternate text.
Background
Tags the current selection as a background element, or artifact, which removes the item from the tag tree so that it does not appear in the reflowed document and it is not read by screen readers.
Show Page Content Order
Shows content elements as highlighted areas that contain numbers to indicate the reading order. You can specify the highlight color in the color picker by clicking the color swatch (See Figure 1 - 16 Page Content Order Panel) .
Figure 1 - 16 Page Content Order Panel
Screen Shot of Page Content Order Panel

Show Table Cells
Highlights the content of individual table cells. You can specify the highlight color in the color picker by clicking the color swatch.
Show Tables and Figures
Outlines each table and figure with a crossed-out box. The box also indicates whether the element includes alternate text. You can specify the highlight color in the color picker by clicking the color swatch.
Clear Page Structure
Removes the tagging structure from the page. Use this option to start over and create a new structure if the existing structure contains too many problem. This only affects the structure of the current page, the structure on the remaining pages of the document remains unaffected.
Show Order Tab
Open the order tab to allow you to reorder highlighted content
Edit Alternate Text
Available in the pop-up menu when you right-click a highlighted figure. Allows the user to add or edit a text description to the figure properties that is read by a screen reader or other assistive technology.
Edit Form Field Text
Available in the pop-up menu that appears when you right-click a form field. Allows the user to add or edit a text description tool tip in the form field properties that is read by a screen reader or other assistive technology.
Adobe Acrobat Keyboard Shortcuts
Many keyboard shortcuts appear next to the command names in menus. If you can't find the shortcut you're looking for in these tables, look in the menus.
Note: To use these shortcuts, you must select the Use Single-Key Accelerators To Access Tools option in the General panel of the Preferences dialog box (Edit>Preferences or use the Ctrl +K keyboard shortcut. From there, select General or type the letter "G" and select or tab over to the check box labelled Use single-key accelerators to access tools and check the box).
