Appligent has several types of customers, but they all have one thing in common — a need to maximize the value of their PDF documents. Our plug-in products are suited for non-technical end users, working with digital documents in the enterprise, while other products are server-based tools geared toward developers who are comfortable working in scripting languages. Also, enterprises interested in extending the functionality of PDF without installing Adobe Acrobat on every desktop are increasingly turning to Appligent's software components for custom solutions.

Many of our customers are developers, or resellers, interested in high-powered PDF processing software components, capable of handling large quantities of documents. Since our tools are not programming libraries, but instead software components, they can be easily integrated into workflows via scripting languages like PERL, VB, PHP, or called as a Web service.
