FDFMerge was first released in 1998 and remains the best-known PDF form-filling server software in the world.
All Appligent Document Solutions form-filling applications, FDFMerge, FDFMerge Lite and FormAssembler, fill forms by combining Forms Data Format (FDF) data with a template PDF form.
Once merged, PDF files may be viewed, archived, printed or e-mailed with all data intact. Flatten PDF output for archival needs, or leave unflattened to accomodate downstream users in multi-stage workflows.
In addition to filling and flattening PDF forms, FDFMerge and FDFMerge Lite may be easily configured to allow Adobe Reader users to "save" PDF forms using a server, making long or complex forms feasible for Reader users without Live Cycle Reader Extensions.
