Appligent Document Solutions has a simple objective; to provide enterprise-class software, services and support to organizations implementing PDF technology.

Appligent is the leading 3rd party provider of server-based tools, Acrobat plugins and stand-alone desktop applications for the on-demand customization, manipulation, redaction and delivery of electronic documents in Portable Document Format (PDF). Our products and services are used in thousands of different settings, from banking to the military, from publishing to food-processing.

Founded in 1988 and based outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company built the first independent PDF parser in 1993.  We've since led the industry, with key innovations in redaction, document security, form-flattening and other areas. Appligent was first-to-market with PDF redaction, Bates numbering, forms-processing, and more.  Our software is highly scalable and provides extremely fast performance on the leading OS platforms.

Our professional services unit, founded in in 1996 as Document Solutions, was the first service bureau in the world dedicated to PDF document technology. With capabilities ranging from forms development to Section 508 compliance, scripting, disc development and imaging, the professional services unit ensures that our customers get the most from their investment in document management.
