FormAssembler
FormAssembler is a dynamic form assembly and data merging
application. FormAssembler is designed to generate high volumes
of fillable PDF forms. These PDF forms can be fully or partially filled with single or multi-record data.
FormAssembler's unique support for Form Data Format (FDF) Templates allow it to assemble repeating multi-page forms from a base set of individual form pages. FormAssembler automatically adjusts field names as new form pages are assembled.
FDF Templates along with its enhanced file compression capability make FormAssembler the best choice for those who need to produce multi-page forms for mass delivery.

Key Features Take a Tour
High-volume processing. Generate large numbers of multipage forms
quickly by taking advantage of FormAssembler’s FDF template support
and enhanced file compression.
Plain-text and XML support. Combine plain-text FDF templates with
PDF files. Tap data from XML files by transforming them into FDF files
using XSLT.
Dynamic form assembly. Combine and rearrange multiple forms on
the fly.
No page constraints on data. Process as much data as required.
If there is more data than can fit on one page, new pages can be created
dynamically.
Full report development. Incorporate covers and other non-form-based
pages to produce polished reports.
Acrobat and Reader not required. Create completed forms that can
be viewed or printed using any PDF viewing application.
Full Acrobat security. Apply 40-bit or 128-bit file encryption.
Set a user password to control who may view, print, or modify a document,
and an owner password to control who may change security settings.
Modes of Operation
Basic operations. The simplest way to run FormAssembler is from
the command line with an FDF template file and no option flags. You can
also run FormAssembler with options to assign security settings to the PDF
forms and enable them for viewing and printing without Adobe Acrobat
and Adobe Reader.
Automation options. On the Web, use FormAssembler with CGI or any
other Web scripting environment to dynamically create forms based on
data users submit from their browsers. In an electronic document workflow,
FormAssembler can be scripted for multistage processing and used with Appligent’s
other products as part of a complete PDF workflow solution.
Optional Web service. Expose FormAssembler functionality to your
entire network with APConductor, a separate Appligent Web service product.
Use it to programmatically pass the function parameters FormAssembler needs
via a single SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) call.
FormAssembler is compatible with PDF 1.2 and higher.
